Let me clear a couple of things up.
Firstly, there
is NO SUCH THING as a "general" cruise ship job application form.
You see, every cruise line company will have its own unique job
application form.
The job
application form you get for Carnival Cruise Lines is different to
that of Holland America. Each company will have
its
own questions and information
it
wants
gathering on potential employees.
Some companies will send you their forms through the post. Other
companies will have you apply directly online.
Each company is
different. You just need to know where to look to find out this
information.
Secondly, you
should not have to pay a fee to get your application form processed.
I’ve heard of companies charging $49 up to $200 just to get an
application ‘processed’!
Unfortunately
this industry is full of scam artists. Particularly on the Internet
there are lots of websites eager to take your money off you for zero
return.
And they're good
at it! We cover this in more detail in our
Get a Cruise Ship Job
book - but you should NEVER pay to get a job on a cruise ship.
Period.
Look at it this
way, charging a fee to process an application form for a job on a
cruise ship is no different than (say) Wal-Mart charging their
applicants a fee to process THEIR job application forms. It's
absurd! Especially when there's no guarantee of a job at the end of
it!
Does this make
sense?
